SCS
was formed in 1992 by two gentlemen with extensive backgrounds in energy
management, G. Burns Porter, who for years worked as an engineer with
Scientific Atlanta on the development of their extremely successful
systems and Jay Perkins who had worked with Lodging Technologies (later
LTI) in applications and marketing.
Specializing in Power Line Carrier technology - SCS is
committed first of all to the service and support of our customers. The
investment in building automation equipment is extensive, but is only
the first step – the system needs to kept fine tuned for the changes
in building use that occur over time, components will need to be
repaired or replaced and training provided to cover the loss of vital
skills and knowledge through employee turnover,. A properly maintained
system will produce savings for decades. SCS supports some that
have paid dividends for over 20 years.
SCS offers both contract and non contract support options on
existing installations as well as custom designed new systems for
